I am a visionary; I have a vision for a world without cancer, but I need your help.

This year, we are proud to be a part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Student Visionaries of the Year Campaign, working to raise as much as possible for LLS’s mission.

We decided to run for Student Visionaries of the Year to make an impact on those suffering the challenges of life-threatening cancer. We want to raise not only funds but also awareness to help support families in their time of need as they face such a difficult and frightening disease. Anyone who has faced or known and supported someone with cancer is impacted differently, and it can feel extremely lonely facing it alone. We have chosen advocacy as our mission pillar because we believe that in order for change to happen, it must be advocated first. There must be policies that push to meet the needs of blood cancer patients and amplify their voices. By participating in this campaign we have learned so many things and we feel we can make someone's life a little easier as they face tough times. Whether the funds go to directly helping patients pay their bills, or if they go to finding a cure, we hope to inspire you to contribute to the cause.

As a global leader in the fight against blood cancer, LLS:

• Funds cutting-edge research leading to breakthroughs in immunotherapy, genomics, and personalized medicine that are improving and saving the lives of patients
• Provides free education and support for blood cancer patients and families, including personalized, one-on-one support, assistance with identifying and enrolling in clinical trials, and more.
• Mobilizes thousands of advocates to drive policy changes that accelerate the development of new cancer treatments and break down barriers to care.
